COVID-19 attendance policy

Should I send my child to the Center:

Wee Wonder has worked diligently in 2020/2021 to keep our students and teachers safe thru COVID-19.  We follow the guidelines of Alberta Health on Alberta.ca and attendance guidelines of the Calgary Board of Education aimed to keep our children safe.  Alberta Health guidelines require families complete the new Daily Covid-19 checklist prior to entering school or a child based program daily.  This checklist applies for all children Kindergarten to Grade 12 and there is a separate checklist for adults.

Currently under Albera Health the core symptoms for students that require isolation for 10 days are one (or more) of the following:

  • Fever

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • loss of sense of smell or taste

In keeping with the Calgary Board of Education - a student can return to school before 10 days only if a covid-19 test is negative, symptoms are gone AND the student is not a close contact of someone with COVID-19. (Check here regularly for updates as COVID-19 evolves)
